I’ve been wanting to try baking cupcakes or muffins, but I constantly put the idea aside because I thought it’s hard to do, or that you have to be a professional baker to do it properly. I was totally wrong. It was so easy than I could ever imagined.
I researched for some ideas on the internet about the recipe of chocolate muffin. There is actually a great deal, and the Chocolate chip Banana Muffin is a good thing to try since the ingredients are pretty easy to find. So, without further ado here’s how I did it.
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp *baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
3 ripe banana
1 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat oven at 175 °C.
- Mix all the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add milk, vanilla and melted butter. Stir mix eggs and crushed banana.
- Add the chocolate chips and mix it all well.
- Cook for 15 minutes. Use a toothpick and insert it in the muffin to check if it’s well cooked.
*You can also use baking powder and baking soda combined. Since we don’t have baking powder in stock, I just leave it out and used the other one.
This recipe is good for making 12 cups (regular 3 ounce Cup of muffin). I tried using two different cups-the regular cup and the bigger one as shown in the photo above. I was able to make 6 regular cups and 4 large ones. Take note that the bigger cups have different cooking time; it can take approximately 20 to 25 minutes cooking time.
You can try it at home, and experiment with different flavors you like.
