Chocolate Chips Banana Muffin

I’ve been wanting to try baking cupcakes or muffins, but I constantly put the idea aside because I thought it’s hard to do, or that you have to be a professional baker to do it properly. I was totally wrong. It was so easy than I could ever imagined.

I researched for some ideas on the internet about the recipe of chocolate muffin.  There is actually a great deal, and the Chocolate chip Banana Muffin is a good thing to try since the ingredients are pretty easy to find. So, without further ado here’s how I did it.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup sugar

2 tsp *baking soda

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup whole milk

1/2 cup melted butter

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs

3 ripe banana

1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven at 175  °C.
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add milk, vanilla and melted butter. Stir mix eggs and crushed banana.
  4. Add the chocolate chips and mix it all well.
  5. Cook for 15 minutes. Use a toothpick and insert it in the muffin to check if it’s well cooked.

*You can also use baking powder and baking soda combined. Since we don’t have baking powder in stock, I just leave it out and used the other one.

Muffin in regular (3 oz.) cups

This recipe is good for making 12 cups (regular 3 ounce Cup of muffin). I tried using two different cups-the regular cup and the bigger one as shown in the photo above. I was able to make 6 regular cups and 4 large ones.  Take note that the bigger cups have different cooking time; it can take approximately 20 to 25 minutes cooking time.

You can try it at home, and experiment with different flavors you like.
